I just came back from being in Boston for five days. My daughter underwent emergency surgery due to a ruptured appendix. I am grateful for her friends who took her to the hospital and my oldest son and daughter who hopped into their car at 1:30 in the morning, drove 4 and half hours from Jersey to arrive at 6 in morning. My husband and arrived at her bedside two days after her surgery. She is home and on the mend now, thank God. And from what I have seen, so is Boston.
Before this trip, I had only visited Boston very briefly. This time, though not the most agreeable of circumstances, we had a chance to explore a little part of the city (mainly around the hospital). My daughter had a penthouse-like view from her room on the 21st floor at Massachusetts (Mass) General Hospital so we were also able to see a large portion of Boston from above.

That must be a huge hospital. Thankful to hear she is on the mend, and that you were able to go be with her.

Thanks Patti! Yes, Mass General has many wings/buildings all connected to each other. My daughter was in the tallest building. I think it had 23 floors.

I’m glad your daughter is okay and getting better! Not the best circumstances for a visit, but I’m glad you got to poke around Boston a little — I love that town!
