I really believe that being thankful for even one thing each day has saved my life from losing hope and turning to despair.

Lately my life has had some stressful moments (who’s life doesn’t?) and my impulse is to want to give up and think that life is just too hard.

But then I see beautiful fluffy clouds against a brilliant blue sky.

I am surprised by happy faces on spring flowers in my garden.

My spirit is lifted when I hear a toe-tapping tune on the radio.

Tired from a day’s work, the aroma of my mom’s Filipino cooking greets me at the door. (Thank you Mom!!)

My heart is warmed by a squishy hug from my 10 year old daughter.

My husband holds my hand when I wake in the morning and then I feel safe for another day.
