Mar, I loved seeing your wonderful photos of this museum (and particularly liked that they’re in black and white!). I have yet to visit, but it is now on my bucket list! So thank you for the inspiration. This will be a great place to visit when the weather for outdoor photography isn’t cooperating 🙂

Thanks Stacy! Your monochromia posts were my inspiration for these images. I will edit to mention that. The MET is an amazing museum. You need to spend a whole day there – it is so huge. I chose to focus on the architecture this time (and a special Van Gogh exhibit – couldn’t photograph). I discovered the rooftop views for the first time.

Wow, Mar, what a wonderful thing to hear – thank you so much for your kindness. There are some who really don’t enjoy B&W, but it’s opened my eyes to so much photographically. I credit Leanne Cole for my foray into B&W processing. I cut my teeth in her Monochrome Madness challenge, which ultimately opened the door to contributing to Monochromia, where I am continually challenged to develop an eye for what images work best in B&W. It’s been, and continues to be, a wonderful education!
Thanks for the added info on the MET. I really am looking forward to visiting!!

Your beautiful photographs give me a taste of the New York I’ve never been to. The city skyline 2nd from bottom is particularly good!
