I am continuing my Changing Seasons Photo Challenge series hosted by Cardinal Guzman (Click here for my May post, June post, July post, August post, and September post).

In October, my daughter and grandson visited from Arizona.  It was so wonderful to finally have my two grandsons together in New Jersey.  The beautiful changing leaves and the cooler but comfortable temperatures were delight.  My flower garden in October even enjoyed the lovely weather.  At the end of the month, my very resourceful 23 year old daughter dressed up in a very creative Halloween costume, wearing stilts that made her normally 5 foot 2 inch stature stand at 6 and a half feet tall.

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came,
The Ashes, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The sunshine spread a carpet,
And every thing was grand;
Miss Weather led the dancing;
Professor Wind, the band….
The sight was like a rainbow
New-fallen from the sky….
