When I started this blog almost three years ago, it was so I could learn about wordpress blogging for my job. Little did I know, I would enjoy it so much.
At first, I thought my blog would be about being a mom of nine kids. I would write stories and maybe sprinkle some words of wisdom from someone who has gone through it nine times. “That would interest people and rack up the number of followers”, I thought. But then I pulled out my camera. I ended up taking more pictures and speaking (writing) less.
Through blogging, I found out that I express myself the best though the use of my camera. I improved my photography skills by participating in photo challenges and letting others critique my work. I was exposed to masterfully skilled artists in the field of photography. Their use of self-expression through photography inspires me. And then I “met” such wonderful and gifted people through the blogosphere. Ones who have encouraged me in my discovery of photography.
Never does a day go by when I don’t think of my camera or pictures. Never does a day go by when I don’t think about blogging. It has become a part of my routine.
“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”
― Ansel Adams
Now comes a poll.
The following poll has to do with my other blog A Joyful Noise. Taking care of two blogs is a bit challenging. If I devote some time to one blog, the other one does not get my full attention. But here’s the real challenge: Momdeavor is essentially a photographic blog with some mothering tidbits interspersed. I have made it quite clear that I am a Christian but I think I have gained most of my followers due to my pictures. My Joyful Life, on the other hand, is a Catholic blog. The content of that blog is specifically Catholic Christian in nature, but of course anyone can follow. Even though, it would be easier for me to manage the blogs if they are combined into one, I am not sure I should combine them. So I will let you help me.
Please provide your input via comments. Thank you for following my blog!
I know the picture seems random but I wanted to post it before the end of Christmas season and realized that it coincided with this week’s photo challenge.
